San Jose Civic Center

Turner-Devcon recently completed construction on the San Jose Civic Center, the new City Hall for California’s third largest city.

Alliance Roofing was awarded an encompassing contract that included roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal.

CalPERS Headquarters

Under Hensel Phelps Construction Company, Alliance Roofing was selected to install roofing and waterproofing for the newly constructed California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)

The building features several outdoor terraces, waterproofed with a hot rubber membrane, allowing and offering occupants access to a lush landscape complete with grass, trees, and flowers.

Drawing on regional Arts & Crafts and Japanese architectural traditions, the facade design is marked by a layered pattern of horizontal and vertical shading projections, light shelves, floor to ceiling clear glass, and integrated planters. It maximizes daylight while minimizing solar gain, as do the buildings’ orientation and massing.

Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Perini Construction Company faced the enormous challenge of building a metal roofing system, as designed, 400 feet in the air. After receiving numerous proposals from metal subcontractors that placed the project over budget, Perini sought out Alliance and requested assistance in solving the problem.

Alliance designed an innovative method to build the panels on the ground and then crane them into place, resulting in a significantly reduced installation costs and safety concerns.
